Description

Askja No3 is made of Rhyolite, it’s resemblance to marble comes from its intricate patterns and veining, which are beautifully highlighted by a polished finish. The stone’s palette features a blend of light-colored minerals with threads of iron oxide, adding a warm, earthy contrast. Uniquely, there are also traces of blue minerals within the matrix, likely from copper-rich compounds, which contribute to its marbled appearance. These blue accents are rare in rhyolite, making this piece an exceptional display of volcanic artistry.
