Vetrarljós No.2 is made from carefully sourced Rhyolite stone, handpicked from the geothermal Highlands of Iceland. This particular stone naturally resembles the shape of a skull, a striking feature born from millennia of volcanic activity. The reddish hues and intricate lines are the result of mineral-rich lava cooling and forming distinct, organic patterns.

In crafting this piece, I follow the natural contours of the stone, allowing its inherent shape to guide the process. Each drill and cut is done with care, enhancing the stone’s unique form while preserving its raw beauty. The result is a lamp that not only illuminates but also captivates, with a design that blends the natural power of geology with thoughtful, artisanal craftsmanship.
