Description

Discovered in the volcanic terrains of Snæfellsnes, Vetrarljós No.5 is composed primarily of quartz, a mineral formed deep within the earth’s crust through the slow cooling of silica-rich volcanic fluids. The stone’s striking combination of translucent white quartz and reddish-purple inclusions likely originates from iron oxide deposits, which seeped into cracks and crevices over time. These iron oxides were carried by groundwater into the quartz during its formation, giving it the distinct shiny hues seen in the stone today.

Quartz is one of the most abundant and resilient minerals on earth, prized for its durability and the way it captures and refracts light. In Vetrarljós No.5 , the natural crystallization process is preserved, with the warm glow of the bulb accentuating the stone’s intricate internal structure.

Please note: Bulb not included. Each lamp is carefully crafted with an integrated dimmer and an E27 socket, designed to pair beautifully with dimmable bulbs. While you have the flexibility to choose a bulb that reflects your personal style, I recommend opting for a design similar to those featured in the images to complement the lamp’s aesthetic and enhance its natural elegance.

Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity.
